Balanced Behavioral Health
Our mission is to create a comfortable space for individuals to take steps to improve their life, learn new skills, and leave each visit feeling like they’ve done something good for themselves and their future.
Receive a comprehensive diagnostic evaluation with a provider to create a personalized care plan that fits your unique needs. We consider every aspect of your well-being, working together to develop a treatment approach tailored just for you. Your journey to better mental health starts with a plan that understands and respects your individual needs.
We utilize the TOVA (Test Of Variables of Attention) which is a computer based test to evaluate for an attention deficit disorder or to validate a suspected diagnosis. This is not a substitute for full psychological testing. This is used in conjunction with a diagnostic evaluation and other assessment tools when evaluation for attention disorders.
GeneSight is a pharmacogenomic test that analyzes clinically important genetic variations that may affect your outcomes with certain medications. The results of the test can show which medications may require dose adjustments, may be less likely to work, or may have an increased risk of side effects based on your genetic makeup.

Yes! Most of our providers are currently taking new patients. Click Here to fill out our contact form and we’ll be in touch.
Being out of network means we do not have contracts with insurance companies to set our fees or dictate treatment options. However, depending on your plan, you may still be eligible for reimbursement if you have out-of-network benefits. We’re happy to provide you with a detailed receipt (called a “superbill”) to submit to your insurance.
- More Personalized, Quality-First Care
We’re free to spend more time with you, use treatments we believe are best (not just what insurance covers), and make decisions based on your health—not an insurance policy.
- No Surprise Restrictions
You won’t be limited by insurance red tape, visit caps, or arbitrary coverage decisions. We treat what needs treating—without jumping through hoops.
- Clear, Upfront Pricing
You’ll always know the cost of your care before you commit to it. No hidden fees. No surprise bills months later.
If you have a PPO or similar plan with out-of-network benefits, yes! Many of our patients receive partial reimbursement. We’ll give you everything you need to submit a claim, and we can help walk you through it if needed.
If you have a Medicare or government issued plan, it is unlikely you can be reimbursed since we are out of network.
We’re Here to Help
We know insurance can be confusing. If you have questions about how our process works, what to expect financially, or how to check your out-of-network benefits, don’t hesitate to ask. Our goal is to make your care experience simple, transparent, and focused on you.
We are a practice that specializes in medication management of acute and chronic mental health conditions. This includes depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, schizophrenia, obsessive compulsive disorder, panic disorder, post-traumatic stress disorder, attention deficit disorder, insomnia, and some childhood behavioral disorders. We have providers that treat children and adults. While our office doesn’t have therapists, our nurse practitioners are trained in therapeutic techniques. In many cases, we refer to a therapist trained in specific modalities to meet an individual’s needs. We have relationships with most therapists in the area and are able to facilitate a referral to someone trained in specific techniques to benefit the unique/individual patient.
Currently, we do not have a provider that treats with suboxone. We are able to refer out to providers who can assist. There are times when our practice cannot meet the needs of a patient. At times, it is best for a patient to receive all care in one place alongside case management services. We are happy to facilitate this referral if needed. We do not do psychological testing or provide ABA services but can assist in referrals for these services.
We do not prescribe long-term benzodiazepines and an initial visit with a provider does not mean current medications will be continued. Our office does not prescribe suboxone at this time. Additionally, certain medications will not be prescribed if someone is drinking excessive alcohol or using illegal substances. A medical marijuana waiver does not mean a provider will prescribe a controlled substance. Controlled substances require a controlled substance agreement and baseline and random drug screens. Additionally, appointments will occur more frequently to be compliant with Kentucky laws related to the prescribing of controlled substances.
Yes, telehealth appointments are available for your convenience and comfort. Our telehealth option allows you to connect with our experienced team from the privacy of your own space, offering flexibility and accessibility to support your mental health journey. We’re committed to providing quality care whether you choose in-person or virtual sessions.
As an out of network practice, we do not bill insurance and payment is due at the time of service. We do require a credit card on file.
